This customer recently moved out to a wooded area with a wetland section along one corner. Their first priority was a "Bird Sanctuary".
They had a perfect area where septic tanks had been removed. We suggested plants that would be favorites
to the birds and butterflies. Plants such as the Black Chokeberry have spring flowers, berries that develop
to an attractive blue/black in summer and stunning fall color, likewise with the coralberries, only
their berries are a pretty coral to red lasting into winer. The Maney Juniper not only develops berries
but also provides a safe haven for the birds. Driftwood was placed for perching and a birdbath
for the water source. The customer will be able to experience and enjoy the different seasons with spring
and summer flowering into brilliant fall color displays and winter interest with the red twigs of the
dogwood, bluish color and berries from the Maney Junipers while being a wonderful place for the
birds to visit or call home.
