This design ties together an addition with an old farm house, which is surrounded by a lovely
wooded area. This lent the design to be more "garden like" or of the "cottage style" with many
tuck-in perennials for colorful surprises throughout the summer. We really tried to give the customer
a variety of plant material that will bring them something to view, enjoy and experience all year long.
This particular design is a wonderful example of all-season enjoyment, such as Lilacs and Rhododendrons
in spring, Spireas and Perennials during the summer, Hydrangeas and Viburnums for fall and Evergreens and
Variegated Dogwood for beautiful winter accents against the snow, along with many other plants
that have continuous color such as Barberries, Montgomery Spruce, Hostas and Coralbells. We also
extended the whole design by connecting the foundation planting to the surrounding plantings
along the wooded area with a gentle, meandering flagstone walkway ... a wonderful finishing touch.
